I got blood drawn today and it feels as though where they insterted the needle hurts/burns. not sure if its from the right wrap they put over as a bandage or if its really from the needle. could this be something serious? its been hours?

It is likely they irritated some of the nerve endings that are adjacent to the vein. A cool compress can transiently reduce discomfort while ibuprofen can help diminish any inflammation. The pain should pass in time and the site/nerve endings self heal.
