It varies from patient to patient, but one to two weeks is not uncommon. It really depends on the extent of the wound.

If the socket is sutured and you are in good health, and follow the directions given after the extraction, than 8-13 days is the normal time for closure. Always flush out any food or debris to help promote healing.
