I was poked really hard in the left temple in an assault, 6 days ago. i went to er and they had no other concerns & let me go home. i have a very mild headache and very mild pain behind my left eye that comes and goes. will this pain eventually go?

It should. Even minor head trauma can trigger single or multiple headaches of various intensity for the week or so after the event.

The pain should eventually go away, however I have seen cases where it becomes chronic through poorly understood mechanisms, post traumatic stress disorder being possibly involved and aside from local inflammation that may persist indefinitely.
