It would be ideal to talk with your prescribing doctor. You shouldn’t be figuring this out on your own. Some doctors will reduce the dose of the current agent, while simultaneously increasing the dose of the new drug. This is done to reduce potential withdrawal side effects from abrupt cessation of an antidepressant.
