Safe?: I'd seek a clarification consult w/ the provider about this entire plan. There are serious potential interaction risks w/ Zoloft and Wellbutrin (bupropion) xl. The doctor needs to watch you closely. You need to know what to report. I'd also urge you to consider adding CBT therapy - research consistently finds best results when that is a strong component (no side effects at all! no BP danger!). Glad you care.

YES: Should not be a problem beginning the Zoloft but I imagine your doctor let you know the regimen to change over. Buspar (buspirone) and Zoloft can be taken together typically as they affect serotonin in different ways.
