A member asked:

Is it possible to have a fecal impaction if you are experiencing no abdominal pain, no bloating or pain in rectum and just rectum pressure?

Fecal Impaction is an option diagnostically if a person has not passed stool for several days, has chronic dehydration or is taking medication which causes decreased intestinal motility. It is typically accompanied by abdominal fullness, pain or bloating. If you are feeling pain in the rectum and it is not relieved within 24 hours, an in person exam can determine possible causes.
