It is partly depending on the antibiotic and dose you received. In general, if your received rocephin 500 mg IM, the antibiotic level on the third day is still protective. Please practice safe sex, do not rely on treatment, take care. Furthermore, your partner needs to be treated as well.

Very unlikely; the standard treatment gives fairly long levels in your system that likely would prevent reinfection. It takes a few days for symptoms to clear up. Return to your doctor if you still have symptoms a week after treatment. In any case, as you probably were informed when treated, you shouldn't yet be having sex!

If inadequatly treated symptoms of the initial infection will return. Reinfection is from another exposure.
