I had a boil on my butt cheek (left) that i attempted to burst. i started bactrim 3 days ago and stopped messing with it and now its an open wound draining (almost done it seems). now i have another on my front thigh. what should i do ?

See a doctor. The thigh lesion might benefit from surgical drainage, and a different antibiotic might be required.

It appears that staph bacteria have colonized your skin. Apply.rubbing alcohol to the skin surrounding the boil to kill staph bacteria & prevent them from spreading. . If you keep getting clusters of boils you may require a 2 week course of a potent antistaph antibiotic like dicloxacillin to remove colonies of staoh from your skin. You can't take dicloxicillin if you're allergic to penicillin.
