All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Vitamins often have more than the minimum required amounts of vitamin b12. This can cause a “high level” of b12 on blood testing. This is not dangerous. Excess b12 is sent into the urine. This isolated finding does not mean cancer.
