Regardless of the gender, the heart is located inside the thorax, usually left side (rarely, some people' hearts are located in the right thorax - dextrocardia), outside are ribs and intercostal muscles and then pectoral muscles and then the breast is the outermost layer.

Heart is inside the chest wall/rib cage, partly behind the breast plate/sternum the pectoral muscles are outside the ribcage. Google, "anatomic location of heart" and look at the pictures and descriptions. Wish you good health!
