With a working diagnosis of "endo" (endometriosis ?) , the insertion of ureteric catheters via cystoscopy is done to identify ureters during the laparoscopic procedure, which may involve dissection near the uteters on the left and right, to avoid operative injury. The cystoscopy will not appreciably influence operative time in an of itself.

The ureteral catheters are inserted at the time of cystoscopy. The purpose to identify during your primary surgery to avoid injury to them. It will not lengthen time of recovery. Wishing you well.
