I find it unlikely a general anesthetic would trigger any change in such a tumor. Nor would it make you at more risk for a given procedure. Since removal is one of the simplest ways of curing the effects of such a tumor, I would look forward to a better life after the work is done.

What kind of hormone and how much? A person with pheochromocytoma could have serious consequences from anesthesia where as some on with prolactinoma is unlikely to. You should advise your anesthesiologist of all of your health issues. Better yet, have your doctor talk to your anesthesiologist.
