Since a BP monitor only measures pulse rate it will only notice rate variations and perhaps generate an alert if it is having trouble detecting a regular rate. To detect and evaluate an arrhythmia you need a heart monitor which produces a continuous reading of the EKG signal.

It could mean you moved or had a muscle twitch. Check by checking your own pulse at wrist. Share with your Dr. If new could be related to BP meds. Low blood potassium?
