Could be normal: Without actually seeing your tongue, we cannot determine what you see and if it is abnormal. It is best to see your dentist who can see if it is a problem or normal. See photo.

The most usual : Situation for patients that notice bumps on the back of the tongue is that they are seeing circumvallate papilla. They are the largest of the normal bumps on the tongue at the very back. They can become irritated on occasion and you might notice them more easily. If the bumps have become more noticeable and don't resolve in a few days, consult w your dentist.

Tongue bumps: Bumps on the tongue in most cases are just normal taste buds. Sizes vary depending on the location. If you feel that some bumps are new or have become larger than a visit with your dentist is a recommended first choice for evaluation.

Taste buds\papillae: The tongue normally has taste buds also called papillae. The largest ones are on the back of the tongue. The only way to be 100% sure that it's all normal is to have a dentist actually take a look.
