I had a heavy object fall on the top foot-it swelled up like egg went to er then took x-rays and ended up as a bruise it was painful to walk on its been months and swelling comes in waves the bruise and pain hasnt gone away what should i do?

Since your chronicity may be secondary to a small stress fracture, or even development of a complex regional pain syndrome, this needs full re-evaluation by an experienced clinician. A triple phase bone scan may uncover the answer.

I would recommend seeing a podiatrist. Bring a copy of original X-rays with you. A fracture could have been missed and not healing.
