Many skin conditions can cause this- most commonly dryness. Wash area with soap and water and dry- the gently rub in a moisturizing cream. STI tests were an overkill and not needed.

I have a red rash on scrotum that is dry and very flakey. Negative for STDs. 2 doctors feel this is fungal but one dermatologist feels its psoriasis. From what I read that psoriasis of groin is not flakey but smooth and bright red. Mine is not?
