A member asked:

Could 35 y/o son have gallbladder or liver problems, very minor,1 of 10 discomfort, not pain,no other symptoms,on and off over 3 mths, sometimes gone, not getting any worse, no effect from food! always thin & healthy, not smoker or drinker, so worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The symptom is vague and nonspecific. For peace of mind a liver blood panel could be done as well as undergoing an abdominal exam by a physician. In my opinion, right upper quadrant ultrasound isn't warranted at this time unless liver enzymes & bilirubin are abnormal.
