You should see a podiatrist, especially if you have diabetes mellitus. However, if you are healthy and the open callus does not appear infected (pus, very painful with walking, fever, etc), you can do local care daily with cleaning the wound with peroxide, keep it clean with dressing and keep it dried, the wound will heal in a week or so.
