If you are experiencing difficulty breathing, please see acute care. Muscular strain may occur with cough or with flu symptoms. Application of local heat often provides relief. If you have shortness of breath, worsening symptoms or moderate pain, please see a physician.

COVID symptoms are highly variable but one of the most dangerous is breathing difficulty, which can worsen gradually without you realizing. The best way to monitor this is with a pulse oximeter, which is readily available online or at a drugstore. This simple finger clip-on measures your oxygen saturation, which is normally in the high 90's. If it is 90 or below get help immediately.
