You might not need retesting at all. Self isolate for 5 days after onset of symptoms or a positive test, if the symptoms are improving by then. If you would like to know for certain you are not likely to infect others, you can re-test 5-10 days after your positive test. This advice is only for home self testing (i.e. antigen test). PCR, the main covid lab test, remains positive for several weeks.
