A member asked:

Is resting heart rate of 100bpm it happens sometimes due to anxiety can cause heart failure? even if the heart is healthy? my usual resting heart rate is 79 to 88?

This rate is well within the normal range of heart rates experiences by young adults. By itself, the rate does not trigger heart failure at this minor level. I would suggest you seek out a life coach to teach you stress management techniques. Then you could learn to relax naturally and the rate would settle.

It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!
