In people with COVID, the PCR test (the main test used in health care settings) typically remains positive for several weeks. The antigen test (the usual home tests) usually become negative by around 10 days after onset of symptoms. However, most people can safely stop self isolation 5 days after onset, if symptoms are improving. Get vaccinated if you haven't done so; or have a booster dose soon.
