Do you have a history of a clotting disorder or easy bleeding? Are you taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory meds often? These increase bleeding tendency. If you've been exerting pressure at the extraction site & continue to bleed profusely, call your oral surgeon or dentist, but I recommend going to the emergency room for prompt evaluation & care if you don't get a prompt callback.

A large extraction site will have more bleeding, even if simple. Bleeding can last for more than two hours if not enough pressure placed on gauze. Poor health can cause prolonged bleeding. Try to take a wet tea bag, after it is boiled and cooled, green tea is best and bite on it, the tannins in the tea help the clotting. The TYLENOL is good and also place an ice pack on face near the extraction.
