I have lower back pain for several months and lower left abdominal pain which seems to coincide.i an awaiting x-ray results..are they possibly linked?

They could be but it: Would be more likely if linked that it would not be a back problem causing any abdominal pain. However, a gastrointestinal or other organ system problem including a vascular one could be a cause of both types of pain symptoms.

LBP w/ LLQ Abd Pain: Pain in the low back along with pain in the abdomen can be caused by the same condition or there may more than one things going on. The differential diagnosis of chronic low back pain with left lower-quadrant pain in an 45 adult male includes neuro-musculo-skeletal, gastrointestinal, renal/ureteric and malignancy. Without further information and examination, the possibilities would be speculative.
