You all should be vaccinated for whooping cough (pertussis). The vaccine is Tdap (includes tetanus and diphtheria); the pertussis portion is important because newborns can get very sick from this (most adults and older children will just have a cough) and they can't begin vaccination for this until 2 months of age. Pregnant women should get this vaccine with every pregnancy.
