Pain in the arm, rib cage& back may be caused by a radiculopathy from a spur or bulging disc in the lower neck or upper back pressing on the nerve root as it exits the intervertebral space. An MRI of that area would show such pathology if it's the problem. You can see your primary care MD first, but I recommend a consultation with a neurologist for evaluation & appropriate testing.
