I am 7 weeks pregnant and went on a weekend road trip, 3.5 hrs each way. our car vibrated more than normal and i could feel the vibrations going through me as i sat. ive been worried sick ever since. can the strong vibrations hurt the baby?

I doubt it. The fetus at 7 weeks is about 1 cm long and is buried inside protective layers of amniotic fluid and the fetal membranes. These layers cushion the fetus. The vibrations likely had more effect on you than baby. I wouldn't advise this as a daily practice but wouldn't waste time worrying about it either.
