HCG levels in early pregnancy begin to increase, and the testing in your question may be a little early for "doubling" to occur. If you have not had any bleeding , the chances are good if HCG is repeated in a week or so. Your OB physician may also order an ultrasound in another 10 days to confirm fetal heart activity.
