There is wide variation in what "normal" folks have regarding BMs per day. One does not "need" to have a BM every day or even every other day. Everyone is different.

You may if it does not cause diarrhea. You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.
