A member asked:

Which medication (or combination) for gad and panic most closely effects the brain like mdma without the negativity associated with it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Might not exist: Mdma acts as a releasing agent of serotonin, norepinephrine, and Dopamine (da). Effexor (venlafaxine) is potentiating both serotoning and norepinephrine so it is quite similar except for no effect on dopamine. Combination of Effexor (venlafaxine) with an antiparkinson agent might be most similar but it may have negative effects like mdma.
