Can abdominal pain affect your hip and thigh? i have low abdominal problems which are under investigation but l have a painful hip and keep getting a small patch of pain mid way outer thigh. thanks?

As a doctor, we often try not to diagnose 2 different problems at the same time for one patient. Your abdominal pain usually does not cause a referred pain to the hip or thigh but the condition which causes the abdominal pain can cause the same pain at your hip or thigh. Please patiently have the work-up done for your abdominal pain first and your doctor may be able to find the relationship.
