Test results may be inaccurate and should be correlated with symptoms. An allergic response by blood test may be followed by a skin test to confirm the allergic immune response. Watch for signs of swelling, vomiting and rash. Difficulty breathing should be evaluated in the ED or urgent care setting depending on the severity. Have an antihistamine at home. A food allergy plan is recommended.
