Sure: When an individual is allergic to trees, grasses or weeds the reaction isn't to the leaves, bark, roots but to the pollen made by the male plant which gets blown by the wind onto the eggs of the female plant to make a seed which can go on to make a new plant. There should be no cross-reactivity between ragweed pollen and indian wheat dessert or indian wheat/maize.
