A member asked:

Could eating a small amount of mortadella lead my blood pressure to increase even if i took my medicine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mortadella is a very high salt, high fat (saturated fat) processed meat. Salt and saturated fats do increase blood pressure and this can happen temporarily even in people that normally do not have high blood pressure. This is true for all other foods high in salt and fats.
