Is it safe to take a ppi for a week or two? ive read about all the scary side effects they can cause. im hesitant to take it. if i only take for two weeks at the most, will i have one of those side effects or are those with long term use?

Yes, short to medium term use appears safe for PPIs, side effects and drug-drug interactions still apply, talk to your prescriber or pharmacist.
