Hi i noticed i have a white coating on the back of my tongue & its only on the back of my tongue. when i stick out my tongue i notice i have bad breath. i brush and floss regularly and use a tongue scraper and mouthwash. it wont go away?

You're doing all the right things, but since the white substance on your tongue won't go away I recommend consulting an oral surgeon for evaluation and advice.

Bad breath can be caused by many different factors, including sinus infections, periodontal problems, smoking, cavities, acid reflux, and your diet. Address all of these possibilities with your dentist and physician, and I'm confident that your problem will at least be minimized, and hopefully eradicated.

You may have Thrush. See your Dentist or an Oral Pathologist Oral Siugeon for evaluation. May be from sinus infection, GERD, diabetes, or other systemic problem. If general or specialist Dentist rules out oral cause, see your GP, ENT, or gastroenterologist.
