I'm having a lot of pain in my neck and pressure in my ear. i've recently noticed a knot getting larger on the bone area behind my ear. is this anything to be concerned with?

It may be an enlarged lymph node. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
