Since Cannabidiol is metabolized via the cytochrome P450 system in the liver, caution is urged when taking anti-epileptic drugs, such as Depakote. Serum drug levels can be altered, and a blood test can reveal the effect. Lithium levels can also be measured, but CBD-lithium interactions appear not to be documented. Discuss further with prescribing doctor.
