Probably not: Your description is suggestive of trigger finger, which is caused by the dysfunction of the pulley/tendon mechanism in the hand. If it is painful, you may benefit from seeing a rheumatologist who can inject a little corticosteroid that will resolve your symptoms.

Could be trigger fin: It could be trigger finger. This is a type of tendinitis. You need to see a rheumatologist, hand surgeon etc.
