Lower leg pain for months in one area of anterior shin about 4-5 cm diameter. other areas dont hurt. no pain when resting but pain when touching location in leg (tender) or when walking. leg looks normal. im sedentary. what could cause that?

You may have a stress fracture, especially if the area is about 2-3 inches above the medial malleolus. Pain has been for months so a plain X ray should be able to identify this hairline fracture by now.
