It would take very extreme anemia to cause cardiac discomfort on exertion. Your anemia is most likely from monthly period blood loss & iron supplements should help. To determine the cause of your chest pains, consult an MD or internist who'll take a thorough history & system review, perform a physical examination & order appropriate tests (? stress test) in order to make a diagnosis & advise you.

There are many causes of chest pain. Discuss whether you have iron deficiency as the cause of the anemia with your physician. Musculoskeletal pain is a common cause of chest pain. If there is fever associated or an injury a chest image is recommended. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting.
