There is not a simple answer. First you need to determine if this is new and whether both eyes are correctable to "perfect" with the optimal refraction (glases, etc). If it is not correctable to "perfect" and it's new, you need to see an ophthalmologist to check the cornea, lens and retina. If it's old (since birth), it may be amblyopia and nothing can be done.
