Learned behaviors : Start @ 6 mos. Discipline = teaching, not punishment. It's effective only if done without emotion. Prevent problems by learning behavioral development on the aap's healthy kids app & reading ht answers on infant & toddler behavior. Practice (1) saying "no" calmly but firmly; lowering your voice, when removing a forbidden object or redirecting a 6-18 mo. Old & (2) ignoring protests that ensue.
