Allergic rhinitis: For two years old-most prescription medications are now available otc eg Claritin (loratadine) (5 mg once at night), allegra( 30 mg twice daily) and zyrtec (2.5 mg to 5 mg daily) although your doctor can still prescribe them and be paid for by your insurance.

Low dose: Infant doses of over the counter benadrl or Claritin (loratadine) children's liquid: consult with you pediatrician regarding exact dose and make sure that you use a calibrated soft plastic oral dropper.
