Chance of brain cancer insignificantly small. Chance of damage/death because your practitioners did not have adequate information is not insignificant. It is appropriate to ask your doctors "why." They can telly what they are looking for.

Not fully clear why you would focus on "brain cancer" with a past history of "aneurysm surgery", with a potential of 50% mortality immediately if ruptured. The films were necessary, and a search for polycystic kidneys was appropriate. Other co-morbidities appear present. All of this stress could be handled with cognitive-behavioural therapy. Discuss your concerns with your doctor.
