It is difficult to assess. There are certain features of the nodules, including density, calcification and location which are important. There are biomarker panels and risk calculator calculations available. The PET scan will provide additional information. Additional information regarding the appearance of the nodules would be helpful. Discuss biomarker panels with your physician.
