Grandma gets cold sores once in a while. she watches my 24 month old. now im scared to let her near my baby, even when she doesnt have an outbreak because i heard you can still pass it without active sores. how scared or worried should i be?

Using good hand washing, a mask and avoid contact with saliva will reduce the transmissibility. If she has cold sores, treatment is recommended. All eligible family members should have a COVID 19 and Flu vaccination.
