Many disabilities require persons to alter how they function in daily life. A person who knows they have a Dupuytrens finger needs to be extremely careful when using that hand to avoid situations which may endanger their life. This applies not only to bicycle and motorcycle riding, but to cooking, using various machinery, gardening and other situations using sharp or dangerous items.
