My day 21 progesterone is very low (0.3) and have 6 week cycle. i assume estrogen dominance? my doc suggested using estrogen patch and progesterone pill together or estrogen patch alone. can't see how patch alone would help if prog is low? what to do?

A "six week cycle" may be secondary to polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), and bleeding may not be a true post-ovulatory event, but breakthrough bleeding from elevated estrogen from ovaries, if ovulation is delayed or absent. Ask your GYN physician about an ultrasound of your pelvis, and about using low dose oral bcp's to stop ovarian estrogen production.
