Is taking lasix dangerous if you are not having trouble urinating? can it cause swelling in your groin area?

Lasix would not be a cause of swelling in the groin. More likely causes would be an inguinal hernia, a local varicosed vein or enlarged lymph glands. Lasix, a potent diuretic, can cause of low serum potassium,dehydration and can raise serum uric acid & blood sugar. . You don't mention why you are to take lasix.

Lasix is a diuretic which makes your kidneys produce more urine, not to make you void easier. This medication does not make swelling in your groin.
